I have a studio based in Machynlleth, Mid Wales, working mainly with paint, printmaking and collage.

I explore ideas around how nature mirrors the wider world, using my wild garden as
my evidence. Through observation and immersion, I witness beauty, drama, conflict,
growth & decay, abundance, food production, weather, sound, colour and wildlife
and more. All of the world in a 1/3rd of an acre.

I try and make sense of all of this through making paintings, they are a direct response
to my observations, using colour and gestural mark making as my language.
The outcomes are driven by my curiosity for experimentation, exploration,
combining techniques and materials allowing me to embrace the unexpected.
Often the paintings have a dreamlike feel, flying or walking through a landscape of
light and colour and abstract forms, or try to describe a sound or smell.

The Fundamental underlying idea i am expressing is about how humans interact
with the world, how it makes us feel and how our actions echo out and leave an
imprint on a larger scale.
